CRXI Getting wrong data type

Working with a report and added a few new tables to it. One of the fields I'm pulling in is a Date/Time field in my database but, when I look in crystal, it only sees it as a Date field. If I create a new report just to test with only that table and I look at that field, it's correctly a Date/Time. Copying that correct field from the test report into the report I'm trying to modify and it becomes only a Date field.

I've had this problem before where Crystal thinks a Date, Time, or Number field is seen as a String or something other than what it actually is. In hte past, I've had to create a new blank report with the same database linking and copied and pasted all fields from the old broken report to the new blank.

There must be another way to have crystal realize the datatype it picked for a field is wrong. Has anyone had this happen and/or have suggestions?

Thank you.

If this started out as a report from version 8 or 8.5, there used to be an option in file->report option to convert datetimes to date. If opened in CRXI, You might still see that this conversion option is shown. I would check there.
