I am getting a runtime error Program:...gram Files\Business Objects\Crystal Reports 11\crw32.exe message when I try to export to excel using Microsoft Excel 97-2000(xls). If I use Microsoft Excel 97-2000 - Data only(xls) the report exports fine. Has anyone else ever seen this and is there an explanation?

We are on Crystal XI and SQL Server 2005.

synapsevampire is correct. The maximum allowable number of rows in an excel spreadsheet is 65536 or 64K.

I have also head that there is a maximum "active cells" number of 12000 or thereabouts.

I can run it with 2 rows or 2000 rows and I get the same message either say.

Maybe you have a corrupt installation of CR.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling. I have seen this in the past.
