I receive the following error when trying to open any data source after checking the view stored procedure box in options:
“CRW32.EXE has generated errors and will be closed by windows.”
I am running 8.5.3.861 and have loaded all service packs, but am not sure if I need any specific hot fixes. I have also checked security for the stored procedure and do have rights.
What could be causing this error?

It could be a number of things. I have had problems with Crystals current version of the Sybase native dll (you don't mention the connection type or DB type) I have gone back several versions to stop problems such as you mentioned.

I am running SQL2000. Where can I get an updated DLL?

Thanks.

Rob

go to Microsoft website/SQL2000 and download the update dll files or the service pack.

I have had this happen as soon as I updated a stored procedure. It can be caused by anything in the stored procedure from a quoted_identifier set to on, to a bad data conversion. I would look further at testing the stored procedure than wondering why Crystal is erroring. Test your sp with it's input parameters in a query window prior to setting your reports location to this sp.

Hi,
I have the same issue. Then I realize that if I remove the use of temp tables in my sp, the error went away.

Is it then that I cannot use temp tables for the sp I use in Crystal?

Your help is greatly appreciated.
