I only have the Professional addition, all I'm after is the help file to aid with me setting-up the RDC add-in using VBA within Excel directly. There are events and properties which I would like more info about.
I do not believe you can use the RDC within Excel's VBA. There is an excel addin for the developer's edition, which should contain all the help files you need. My advice is to break down and buy the developer edition.

Well it appears to be working okay at the moment, I've managed to add the RDC as a control and reports are loading okay in a form.
Since installing the professional addition I have, as additional form controls in the VBE, the Crystal Report Viewer Control, the Crystal Report Prompt Info control and Crystal Query Viwer 9. I just find it odd that there isn't any supporting help files with the controls. I'll have to think carefully about get the developer edition as it's alot to just obtain a small help file.
My main question is how does the .location property and the .SetLogOnInfo properties differ or work together? At the moment I'm log-in onto a server that has several databases, but the database that I pick in the .setlogOnInfo is not the same as the database that appears in the report. I believe the default location of the crystal report is set to this other database.
I would have thought that stipulating the database on the setLogOnInfo property would alter this. Any ideas??
You will find sample testcr85.mdb in the program folder. It contains a sample module.
