Hi all,

Crystal v7, Oracle 9.

Hope you can all help me with my crosstab dilema. What I want to do is calculate % against Columns and Total Figures, the following is what i would like to see, I have created the crosstab as below but without the % so far.

Group = School Type
Nursery ETHNIC TYPE
LOCATION NOT OOE WHB WHR Total

CORBY 0 0% 0 0% 16 100% 0 0% 16
KETTERING 1 6% 1 6% 14 82% 1 6% 17
Total 1 3% 1 3% 30 90% 1 3% 33

Thanks in advance!!

In the summarized fields section of the crosstab wizard, add another instance of the same field you have in there now. Click change summary and select show as a percentage of. then select Column next to From:

Click the customize Style tab in Cross-Tab wizard and in the Summarized Fields section select horizontal.

That should do it

Are you sure your talking about CR7 as i cant see any percentage summary options?

Thanks

ahhhh im sorry its early .... I wasnt paying attention to version... please disregard.....

You won't be able to get a horizontal display in CR 7, so you're better off creating a manual crosstab. Insert a group #2 on location and then create one formula per ethnicity, as in:

//"NOT":
if {table.ethnicity} = "NOT" then 1

Add the ethnicity formulas to the detail section and then right click on each and insert a summary (sum, not count) at the Grp #2 level. Then drag the groupname into GF2 and suppress the detail section. For the percentages, you would use formulas like:

sum({@NOT},{table.location}) % count({table.ethnicity},{table.location})

thanks lbass, I did think of that option but as there are 10 odd maybe more codes I thought the crosstab route could have been taken.

Thanks again for all your help!
