In cross Tabe Column , I have 2 colums,
Name and other one is Date

Ex:

Srinivas Lbass Sam
03-Mar-2007 04-Apr-2007 05-Jan-2007

My client wants to be sorted based on Date, not on the name,
When I tried put Date as First group(I can display name from options) , the problem is ,2 names has same date , then they are becoming into one column as one group, So the output is going wrong.

Then I tried adding Date + Name in a formula,
then the problem is Date is conveted into string and not sorting in proper way.

I really apprecaite you help.

Thanks

It helps to give your Crystal version - 8, 8.5, 9, 10, 11 or whatever. Methods sometimes change between versions, and higher versions have extra options.

Higher versions of Crystal should handle the date. If yours is an early one, try something like
Code:
ToText({your.date}, "yyyyMMdd")

[yinyang] Madawc Williams (East Anglia, UK). Using Windows XP & Crystal 10 [yinyang]

Thank my dear, I will try it.

Cheers
