I have a new customer running 4.2(17) that is experiencing cross talk, meaning that they can hear other conversations in the same office on their line. They have 5 analog lines, and are all using 5410 digital sets.

Has anyone experienced this under 4.2(17)? Would this be a software issue, or possibly bad hardware? Any suggestions you can give will be helpful.

Thanks!

Digital sets are not prone to crosstalk, this is more than likely down to the lines even though no doubt the providor will deny it until they are blue in the face :) Just to be sure is all equipment grounded correctly?

You can also try to power down the ipo, pull out the Alog trunk card power up the ipo. Power it down again and put back in the trunk card.

But as Amriddle says, it's probably your provider.

Thanks for the information guys. We were not able to reproduce the error today, so that makes me think it is probably on the providers end as well. It is grounded. I will let you know if it turns out to be something with the IP office.

Thanks!
