Hi all,

Is it possible to hide rows in a cross tab?

I made a report based on a cross tab. Some records are more than once in the table, for each language once.
If the user speaks French, he want to see only the record with the French description. But now, all records appears.

So, I do not want to see the other languages. Is this possible?

Thanx in advance!

Is the language defined in the row or column field? Please identify what you are using for row, column, and summary field, and explain what determines the language in the summary.

Hi lbass,

the language is defined in the row field.
I have a table Item and Item_price. An item may have one or more prices.

As row items, I use: item_code, item_description, item_unit and item_desc_language
The column item is: item_price_code
and the summarized field is item_price

The language determines how many times an item appears. In fact, it can only appears once, only in the language that the user want. p.ex., the user speaks french, he want to see the description in french. an other user speaks English, he want to see the description in English and not in French. Now I get both, in English as well as in French.

I hope this comment is useful.

Greets!

I think it would make sense to remove {table.item_desc_language} from the crosstab and instead add a parameter to the report. Create a parameter {?language} and then in the record selection formula, add:

{?language} = {table.item_desc_language}
