Hello. I have a cross tab that can be quite large. We'd like it to print on one page whenever possilbe but I can not find a way to move the cells closer together. If gridlines are on, you can see that the actual data cell has plenty of white space from the edge of the data boundary to the cell border. I would like to decrease the amount of space between the data field and the cell boundary. If you click on a data cell and right click to Size and Position, you can change the width and height but not the x,y settings. Is there a way at all to decrease this excess white space? The executives will not approve the report if there is this much "wasted" space.

Thanks for any help!

You need to shrink the actual fields first and the frame will reduce automtically.

most probably this is due the the title of your fields

You can drag the boundaries of a summary or label field to make the cell smaller. Also within the crosstab expert go to the customize style tab and uncheck "Show cell margins".

Thank you MisterMo and LB. I had already tried shrinking the the actual fields and font size but not the cell margins. Show cell margins did the trick. I checked every box that I could think of on that tab but didn't notice that one! Thank you so much. The report looks great.

This report will now take minutes vs. the current 1-3 hours per division it takes our accountants to do.

Thanks a bunch!
AJM.
