Hi

I have new Solaris 8 system
When I want to use root to see other user's crontab
I try the
"crontab -l User_ID"
but it shows some messages:
crontab: the audit context for your shell has not been set.

anyone can tell me what is this problem?
thanks.

I've not used it myself but it seems think you could be running user auditing, which you could turn off if you don't need it, have a look at this document for more information:

Also what happens if you attempt to run the commend as the specific user, do you get the same error?

Cheers,

spoodie:
thanks your information.
I also find out which cause this!
It's SSH, we use F-secure SSH
and I usr putty as client.

I found if I using SSH, crontab -l User_ID will not works
but if I use telnet, it works normally
(same root, same putty)
so I think it SSH's problem.

but your information also helps me to more understand the solaris

thanks again.
