Cron keep stopping

[ThreeWheelsOnMyWagon]

SCO OpenServer 5.0.5 running overnight cron jobs stops occasionally when accessing a file of approx 1MB. There is reference on sco.com to a similar problem addressed by update OSS497C. This has been applied but the problem persists.

Any ideas ?
