I am constructing a web site which helps people learn HTML and I just want to know what you lot think so far. I am aware that it is not all complete. But here is the URL:

Probably better to post this in the Web Site Designers forum but anyway...

Nice and simple interface. The background repeats on bigger screens but actually looks kind of good! Nice informal approach. I don't think the "top" button is ideally placed, not really useful as a nav tool. And there is no way back to the home page (or it isn't obvious)!

The logo at the top - I know you meant to have a jagged line around it but it still jars a little when you see a graphic without smooth edges, but that's just me. Watch your punctuation on the home page - a few too many commas!

And the blue heading on the black bg doesn't really stand out very well.

The horizontal rule page looks different in NN! (maybe should mention cross-browser issue?)

But overall nice and simple!

Also you have used the default font - either that or you have specified one I don't have - better to have atleast Verdana or Helvetica in there, just to be safe! BB "Alright whatever man, I'll hook up the hair, but I aint touchin the ring...Cause I'm still a pla--yer"

Thanks guys, I will keep working on the page, about the font thing, I want it like that because using arial, verdana, helvetica it doesn't look as good. I don't know why I think that but I don't like it, thanks for the feedback though.

I like your site jaredn, the design is very simple, but effective, on its viewer. Do you have any instant messengers, maybe we could contact each other sharing tips and ideas? I was impressed with the use of JavaScript, on the site, you picked out some nice tools. I cannot stand it on some web pages when you get annoying alerts etc.
