hi,

My W2k server's warning light (on the front) has been on for the past few day's, there are no errors showing in event logs or device manager. i have run a component check including the mother board scan which has passed all checks. there is no noticeble diference in performance or any other symptoms-bizarre!All my raid drives are lighting up as fine & NIC's fine but the light still stays on

Thanks in Advance.

If you have redundant PSU's, check that they all have good power, one could have failed.

Might also help to know what server brand and model you have. A small "!" yellow warning light sounds like an IBM server. One thing I've learned about those IBM servers is if the light is on, something IS wrong. Those servers have good interal self-checks.

Thanks guys,

The Servers a Mesh systembase AX (Pentium III 2.8 ghz x 2) The PSU's are hot swappable and are ok. I have downloaded Scanning /Test utilities from intel which have picked up nothing.
