Creeping Network Drives! 1

I have several NT WS 4 users that report network drives that keep remapping, all the way up to drive Z! If you delete them, they start coming back until once again, all drive letters are occupied. I double checked the users to make sure they were not selecting "reconnect at login" when they mapped drives. Any clues?

Good idea, but there isn't anything in there that maps network drives. The only thing that our netlogon does is run a software auditing program that uses UNC's (does not map any drives).

Have you tried:
Open My Computer
On the Tools menu, click Disconnect Network Drive.
Click the drive from which you want to disconnect, and then click OK? Also is it a possibility that you have Banyan Vines Enterprise Client installed on those computers?

Try disabling Findfast in Control Panel (deleting all indexes)and remove from the start-up folder if present.

another way to resolve this and still have find fast (if you wished) is if there is a policy enforced i.e. ntconfig.pol select the "disable link file tracking" Njoy!
