My client has Aloha and when they process credit cars they get a message "D/System Error" on the FOH.

When trying to process on the BOH EDC the credit card does not process... nothing. No error message. The transactions in EDC are blank.

Looks like EDC is not communicating but the services is running fine. What might be the problem?

They use 2 modems to process CC's.

If all fields on the EDC main screen are blank I would first look to see if the "SETTLING" marker file exists in the processor(S) directory in EDC. ( ie. aloha\edc\visanet\settling (using visanet as the processor)) If so delete it, stop pos in EDC then restart pos.
If that is not the issue post the last day or so of the edc debout.

I deleted the settling file but the system states when start the EDC Processor - "Your last settlement was interrupted. You need to check whether your batch made it through OK. Contact Technical Support to removce this message".

I check to see if the batch settle OK - and it was fine with the processor and the report.

The 'settling' file is typically what would create this message. If you use more than one processor or have more than one account with the same processor the flag file may be in another subdirectory. Also be sure you deleted the "settling" file and not the "settled" file.

Looks like I didn't delete the file or deleted the wrong one but after I deleted the settlign file it worked fine.

Thanks for your correct response.
