My credit card is processing speed has gone done as I have checked the internet speed and its fast. Tried every thing but it take 30seconds per transaction to get authorize. Using Micros 3700. Any help what to look for greatly appreciated
Sounds like it is going through the phone backup. Try unplugging the phone line from the server and test a card, it should fail. If not, there is a network latency issue.
Thank you for your reply ..... no phone line is connected and only the DSL/Cable is connected to the CPU, is it possible that I might have plugged the cable on the wrong input on the CPU .....regards
It was fast and now slow?
Any changes in internet service?
Have you added or changed any other services that seek the internet (music, surveillance camera's, on line ordering, office computers, gaming machines, Public WiFi)?
Any vendors of such equipment/service been onsite lately troubleshooting issues?
Are you running Anti-Virus on the back office computer?
IP conflicts? Is Micros router being shared with other devices?
Windows firewall?
Is it slow 100% of the time?
Have you changed any printer routing options that determine where the credit card slips print?
Hello and thanks for the assistance, its slow all the time and no other device is sharing the internet, it just happened as i was rearranging the computer and possible might have plugged the wrong cables but not sure, I am not an expert so do know if I have a other credit card driver/s ....regards
Check that you don't have 2 Gateways in your network settings. In your DNS, add 8.8.8.8 and 208.67.222.222 for DNS servers. If you have others in there that's fine but move one of these to the top.
Think about what has changed since when it was working.
Scan the PC with Malwarebytes and make sure you have A/V on it.
after 3months of annoying slow speed but learn a lot, many thanks and tried the DNS and added the nos and it worked and back to high speed.
I am using MICROS3700 with XP which is no longer in compliance but the hardware is in good condition and I think I can get few more years, is there a reasonable option without splinting the CC option as that is very important as all the new labor force cant add nos .....any suggestion would be helpful ...
again many thx for your assistance
