I have a BCM400 3.7 with all the latest patches loaded, PRI trunks. I have credit card machines and faxes set up on individual analog extensions. Faxes work fine. I am having issues with credit card machines working correctly. The cc company says it looks like the call is being dropped before the user gets notification of the transaction being completed. Have tried different machines and have taken machine to another system and it appears to work fine. No copper trunks in building to use. Telco says PRI is working fine. Any ideas?

8-port MBM and have tried "Long Tones". Am going to try an ATA2 when I get one.

On the port under capabilities, ATA settings, you may need to change the answer timer or change the device to telephone. I've found this to be a common problem on SIP to PRI providers so you may have to work with them to get them to set the protocol to G.711. They typically use G.729.

We figured out the issue, oldestgeek is correct. Telco was sending all calls out as G.729. Their Adtran has a setting that should automatically convert CC machine and fax calls to G.711 but it was not. Had them set all calls to G.729 temporarily until they can get their Adtran unit replaced or repaired. The problem with that is the customer will notice call quality drop after the 18th simultanious phone call.

Thanks for your help everyone.
