Creative Web Camera - Sound Corrupts File 1

About 3 Months ago, I purchased a new Creative Web Camera, it did not have any specific model on the box or documentation, only Web Cam, it was an USB device. I installed the provided software and the camera works OK, except, when I record a few seconds of video with sound, a message comes up stating the file is corrupted. if I record without the sound all is OK, naturally there is no sound. I e-mailed Creative, they were not very helpful.
The computer is a Pentium II, 450mh, 64mb Memory running windows 98.
I would be please for any assistance.

sounds faulty send it back!

if the sound input is through a built in microphone in the cam then its definetly faulty other than that if you are using a proper microphone thats not built in to the camera then maybe its the settings of your microphone

try reinstalling the software with the cam
or try
reinstall windows
