I am trying to supress a section where the total number of parts ordered equals the sum of received total release line quanitites.

EXAMPLE:
PONO ITEMNO TOTAL ORDERD qty received DATE
21593 20124 10,000.00 5,000.00 9-05-05
21593 20124 10,000.00 5,000.00 10-12-05

When I insert sub total on qty received field, the numbers do not add up to 10000 (in case of above example) the inserted sub-total value keeps returning this value 2,6000.00.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Angem,

This is because the supressed records are still being counted - although you can't see them - they are still there.

You need to create a running total - sum the field you are currently summerising - but write an Evaluate formula that is the opposite of your suppression formula - and reset on the change of the group you are subtotalling - if you have not used running totals - you will see what I mean when you are in the Running Totals Expert.
