I was trying to create a stationery template this weekend using background colors, textures, etc. I saved it as a template.

When opening I could not type text on top of the backgrounds except with the text box. Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks,
John Taylor

Hi,

You need to insert your background in the Header NOT in the body of the doc. Skip,

Skip,

Thanks for the reply. That makes sense however how would I get the background color to bleed over the edges of the paper? I tried adjusting margins (perhaps incorrectly) but can only get the header to go down about 2/3 of the page.
