I have a report that's grouped by VP, Region, Item then Customer. So Customer is at the detail level. I'd like to add line numbers to count the customers for each item. I'd appreciate any help for this basic question.

Thanks!

Hi, You might try a dcount function and place it in the group or report footer:
=DCount("[customer]","yourtable","([item]= [txtItem]"),
where you are counting the number of customers in "yourtable" where the item number matches the text box your report displays with the related field in your table.
Hope that helps.

Thanks pdldavis!! I believe that will work.

You're welcome. One thing though, I have one left bracket too many by ([Item] if you didn't notice that.
