Take a look in /var/spool/lpd/pio/@local/custom after you've created your first queue/device --

Thanks for the reference to the files however I want to know if I can get the users to view the location of the printer instead of pointing them to this file?
Also can I just update this file with the following for example:
desc = hpJetDirect located on level 20 section 5
