Creating new user/mailbox - mailbox store blank

When i create a new user i can see our new exchange2010 server but not the mailbox store. That part stays blank.
The store is up and running on the exchange2010 server.

Can anyone help us with this ?

Are you creating the user from within Exchange Management Console?

No i'm doing this from the dc. Adding a user and the say create mailbox.

When i use the dropdown box then i can see the old and new exchange server.

But i can only see the mailboxstore from the old server and not the new one.

The old one is a 2003 and the new one a 2010 exchange server.

You need to create users with mailboxes for 2010 using the 2010 tools (EMC or EMS), not the 2003 tools (ESM or ADUC).

Also when you create your user in active dir on a 2003 dc ?

Create the user from the Exchange tools. Not on a DC unless you've installed the Exchange 2010 management tools on that DC. The Exchange 2003 tools should NOT be used for creating 2010 mailboxes. When you you use the 2003 tools, it creates a legacy mailbox, not a usermailbox.
