Creating New report in CR

Using Crystal Reports 8.5 and SQL Server (ODBC)
I am not able to create new reports. Able to select standard from Crystal Report Gallery and also I am able to add tables as soon as I close the Data Explorer after adding the tables, the added tables vanishes. But able to modify the reports. Problem is not able to Create new reports.

Wondering what could be wrong. Please help me if anyone know how to resolve this problem.

That's an odd one and a good deal of technical information would be required to more closely diagnose it.

Are you using a login account that has access to everything that Crystal installed?

I would suggest first applying the service pack:

http://support.businessobjects.com/downloads/updates/service_packs/default.asp

If that fails, perhaps reinstalling Crystal as there are too many unknowns here.

I tried everything. I reinstalled Crystal Reports, installed service pack 3. Still not working.

Someone more then me that have had this problem in CR 8.5, and solved it ?

When i first start crystal reports, i can add a ODBC database and create a report. But when i want to create a new report with the "report expert" (with the CR already started) and i choose the database field and press "add" everything looks fine and the database is added. But when i press "close" it dissapears. If i choose the "blank report" nothing happens, i don´t get a new report and the option to choose database to add.

I have searched and found nothing to help me with this problem. I have tryed to reinstall the CR. and sp3.
