My inteded goal: Run an application when the user has completely logged on. Weather they must execute it or the script executes it, it must be after they are entirely logged in.

What I have: Win2kServer w/AD - I am the net admin here so rights isn't an issue at all.. I'm checking out the Group Policy's login scripts for user/computer, and I'm not quite sure how to make a script! Funny huh! Do I make it like a Novell script where I'd use @\\server\bla\bla\audit.exe inside of a ?? text file ??

Just a little info would be nice. Even if I have to put this audit exectuable on their desktop, that's fine.. The audit file is on a shared dir on the server, that not everyone has mapped! "tis better to be thought of as a fool then open your mouth and remove all doubt" Mark Twain

From what I understand, you should edit the group policy for the users that you wish to run the script. Under User Configuration, Windows Settings, Logon , you can specify the script you want to run. I think you would just type in "\\server\bla\bla\audit.exe" in the Script Name box. If you want parameters, add them in the box below.

I haven't been in the situation where I have used a logon script yet, but this is the way I would try to do it if I needed one.
