Creating Halftone's

Does anybody know how to create a halftone to a graphic style? I create artwork for packaging print (cardboard boxes)and its use'd quite alot

...effect > pixelate > color halftone...

...you need to ensure your raster effects setting is adequate if used on vector elements, found under effects > document raster effects settings...

...if you want to end up with vector you then need to live trace the halftone by experimenting the live trace settings...

Cheers, the point im getting is i had to do a house for a carton, and used the charcole effect tool on the lines to give it a rough edge effect, when the plate returned from the plate makers they converted it to halftone so im wondering how to do it. I have experimented with halftone but im unsure on what pixel etc to set it at
