creating crystal reports using dynamic SQL in VB

say, a user is given a list of choices in a VB form<br>
for various financial years, for which reports will be generated. according to the users choice, an SQL<br>
stmt should be generated , which forms the basis for<br>
a crystal report being generated . Is this possible<br>
and if so, id like to know how !<br>

I have had to resolve a similar situation and have found two approaches that work they are;

a) Put the parameters in a temporary table and allow CR to select data dependent on them.

b) Run the select within VB and put the results in a temporary table which CR will use to create the report. On control returning to VB clear the table down. Alternatively you could clear the table down before initiating the sql select. [sig][/sig]
