Hi all
I am running exchange 2000 and I'm trying to create a new contact, I set it up, I put the Email address ( hotmail ) as a SMTP address and when I send a message to the new contact I get a new message ;

The e-mail address could not be found. Perhaps the recipient moved to a different e-mail organization, or there was a mistake in the address. Check the address and try again.The MTS-ID of the original message is:c=US;a= ;p=ManchesterUnity;l=MU-SYDEXCHANG-030428235126Z-3985
MSEXCH:MSExchangeMTA:HeadOffice:MU-EXCHANGE

The email address is correct , any suggestions?

When you click New - Contact, you get a box with details lik name. When you click Next, check the Exhange address checkbox and click modify. Here you select SMTP address or Custom (in which case you type SMTP as type).
That's all

Oops, I didn't read that properly, sorry.
I see you can create it but not send to it.
It does appear in the GAL does it?

Is this just this one, or do you have others which do work.
If so, I would say, delete it and recreate it.
Maybe sound silly, but watch for 0 (zero) and O's, l's and 1 (one).
