Creating an irc client in bcb 5

Greetings to all,
Im thinking of trying to make my own irc client, anybody have an idea where to get some source code for this that can be compiled in builder 5, or information on how to program for irc?

Dunno about code, but you might be interested in rfc1459.


I think it's section 4 that describes the commands.

From the looks of it, you need these commands to start off:
USER
NICK
JOIN

When receiving, check for PRIVMSG, NOTICE and PING.

Then start adding more commands.
