How does one determine if a database exists, then create it if necessary?

Use ADOX reference to the "Microsoft ADO Ext. 2.5 for DDL and Security" and look for examples in this forum, and forum222

I do not know what db type you are talking about, but I assume a MDB.
If it is a flat file db, such as an MDB, then to determine if it exists use the Dir() function
