I need some help in creating a VB Script to push out a hotfix.

What I would like to do is have the scipt look at the registry to determine if the hotfix is present. This will be different depending on the OS.

If the hotfix is not present, I would like to launch the hotfix in silent mode and then reboot the machine.

Any comments or help is appreciated.

you can use the kix32 instead , it is very simple to run (loginscript) and it has built in functions to look into the registry ...
also you can use the shutgui /s from the resource kit to boot the systems ...

Also, have a look at a new thing called "Software Update Services" from good old MS, which is basically like running your own windowsupdate.com

We have just started using it on a 500 machine network, and are pretty impressed so far.

Best of luck!
