Creating a Temp table

Is there a fast way to create a temp table with a smaller set of data. I have tried using a recordset and inserting the records into the new table but it takes over an hour to run. There are about 200,000 rows that need to be brought over.

I need a faster way to get this done.

Try using a condition that you know won't exist with your Insert. Peter Meachem

I used a stored procedure and it now takes about 30 seconds. Thanks.
