Creating a Table in Illustrator

I'm using Illustator CS.

Is there there a way to create a table, with simple borders, in Illustrator without hand drawing them?

I've tried creating tables in word, and pasting them, but they don't seem to work?

I have a few colums and rows of numbers with headers. Simple stuff. Thanks.

While you cannot create an actual data table with cels, you can use the grid tool to simulate one.

If you have InDesign, it has a table tool that is awesome.
