Hello everyone!

I am currently using "Site Build It!" for my web hosting company and they do not provide .asp or CGI support. From what I found, i'm in big trouble becuase I want to put in a "Contact Us" form in the middle of one of my pages and it won't allow me due to them not supporting ASP or CGI.

My question is that if ANYONE can help me out PLEASE as to if there is a way I can put in a Contact Us form in some other way to where the viewer on my website won't have to click on my e-mail link to pop up their mail client. I want it all done on a form in my website.

Please...I hope there is a way.

Respectfully,
Christopher M. Luck

There are some free services out in the web somewhere that allow you to bounce the form processing through their site & send the data to your specified e-mail address. You'll have to do some google searching to find them, but I know they exist. Downsides to this approach are obvious, though, as they can see all information that's being submitted & they may not be around forever.

Yeah, I thought about that. I looked a few free 3rd party services for my situation and haven't found one that looked professional for my scenario.

My website is going to be in frames...I want my "contact us" form to be in one frame with information above it as well. Third party services give you a link to put in your website that will send the viewer to "their" contact form. I don't like that at all :-(

Does anyone else have any feedback on this? I really appreciate how friendly everyone is on here.

I went to a few remote form services at:

but noticed many of them are set up to where if I am to use a form on my website, I cannot put the form directly "in" my website....I have to send the visitors to a different page for the form..

Does ANYONE know of a remote service that will allow webmasters to add the forms in the website where they wish? This way it looks much more professional.

Hi mate,

If you want a professional form that you can put directly onto your site, then you are going to have to pay for it.

Free services will have some drawback that means they show banners on the form or on the thank you page that the visitor sees after submission.

I can't give any recommendation about other companies, but I can give you a quote if you want to contact me.

mmm you don't have to look for a form to put onto your site, just for the ASP file that will process the form. I know it's rare but I've seen them around. A lot of providers that don't support the use of ASP etc on their website still have a few standard script you can acces. Did you check if yours has some ? E-mail processing is very common, so it's very possible they have a free processing script you can send your form to. I know my provider has some available ...

Hi there

I have used this form submitter called Responce O Matic ( You can customize it to your need and it is very simple to do. It is a script that you have to add to your HTML and if you know how to manipulate HTML you'll get this script.

It is totally free and with that you have to deal with an advertisment.

Another alternative if you want to have a CGI-BIN is to set up a free account with Tripod. You can create your own Perl scripts and load them to this folder. I personally have never done his because I am not familiar with Perl scripting but I know it can be done since they host my web site.

Good luck and I hope that I have helped.

I have never had a prob with Tripod and using my form. I just copy the HTML that you receive when you create the form and just paste it into your webpage HTML.

Since it is all done from your page builder (whatever you have) uploading it to the Tripod server is not an issue.

The problem that I am talking about is that most free hosts do not allow you to send requests directly to a non-html file from another server, this is to make sure that their adverts or whatever are seen by every user.

Using the form on Tripod and sending the request to Tripod would not show this problem.

Hope this helps

All I can say is just try it :) I have been using my submit form for almost 2 years and have never had any problems (errors or complaints from Tripod).
