Can anyone tell me what the difference in performance if there is a contraint created to check data integrity vs a trigger created to do the same?
Thanks
Contraint is faster and more efficient as Oracle does the checking internally and the constraint can be deferred and will not become invalid. However a trigger can have funtionality which a constraint can not provide.
