Creating a combination line graph

Hello

I'm using CR8.5 and an Access database.

I need to create a combination line graph to show Actual Gifts vs Forecasted Gifts for the current business year (1st Aug 2008 - 31 Jul 2009). I have been using CR for a number of years but this is the first time I have needed to write a combination line graph and I don't mind admitting to being lost!

Firstly - is it possible for the Actual & Forecasted gifts to be running totals rather than sum.

Secondly - how do I force the x axis to be August through to July regardless of the date.

If this is not enough information let me know and I will try and provide what is needed.

Update -

I have now added Running Totals for the Forecast and Actual gifts.

On the Chart Expert - Data Tab - I have it set on 'For Each Record'. This makes the report look how I want.

However, the X axis is now 0 through 7 rather than months. Could any body advise me on how I can get the X axis to display the months of the business year?

Create a formula:

//{@Monthname}
Monthname({Fieldyouare.chartingby})

In chart expert - Select this formula on change of in place of the numeric currently used.

I must be doing something incorrect in the basic construction of the report.

In Chart Expert - Data Tab -

If I select 'For each record' the lines plot how I would expect.

When I change this to 'On Change of' and include the formula you gave me, I get the correct x axis (albeit out of order) but the lines no longer plot as I would expect.

I'm guessing I have set the report up incorrectly to begin with.
