Can someone please list the a basic walk-through or point me to a location besides the help files on how to create a Certificate Authority on a Domino 6.5 server?

I am new to and testing Domino and trying to add some new users. I have been able to connect to domino with lotus notes as the default user I configured at startup and send and receive messages to my myself. I understand I need to configure a CA so I can register the newly created users. I find the information in the help section jumps all over the place though and makes it near impossible to do this correctly for someone that knows nothing about Domino.

Your help is greatly appreciated!

I suspect you may be barking up the wrong tree.

What you need to add users is the NotesCertifier.ID and the Notes Administrator Client. This is created when you create your first server in the Notes Domain.

In the Admin Client simply select "People and Groups" tab then the "Register" button under tools on the right hand side.

Certificate Authorites are required for normal Notes access.

I havent done it I just use the Cert.id from my client. But if you search the admin help using this phrase "Migrating a certifier to the CA process" It will walk you through it.

The CA comes in handy if you need to re-certify or register new users using Webadmin.
