Yes, I used a double negative.

IPO 8.1.67
UCM 8.1.97

Hello all;

I appear to be having an issue with accessing my UC Module.
I do not know how I created a back-up copy but that's all I can access.
Voicemail Pro Client logs into the proper i.p. for the UCM but when it logs in, the upper right corner says Voicemail Backup and everything is grayed out. Cannot access any of the modules (I can see them but not change them).

Would anyone be able to tell me how to get rid of this backup copy so I can carry on with making changes to my voicemail.

Thanks in advance.

is this the old UC?
What's happening to the UC in System Status?
Can you browse to the UC on port 7070?

The UCM is running as a backup VMPro server.
IS the IP address in manager configured for the backup VMPro server perhaps?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

@Holdmusic34;
Old UC module - it came as a 8.0 if that's what you mean.
I can see the module in the System Status
Yes, I can browse to it.

@tlpeter;
I "DID" have an i.p. in manager, but put in the i.p. of the system (.27) not the uc module (.29)... which have since figured out is wrong.
Is there a way to make the UCM not a backup VMPro server?

thanks again for your quick responses!

Sorry, I thought that was a no,no...?

Don't touch the Voicemail Address 169.254.0.2 when dealing with a ucm?

Wally is right!! Don't change that address or tlPeter will scald you like a dog!!! [wink]

You shouldn't, but you can with caveats. Use 169.254.0.2
Shutdown UC, then reboot.

I haven't changed that i.p. Right now it's 169.254.0.2 and I have rebooted... many... times with no success at getting rid of accessing this backup.
I'll try again right now though.

Dang...

I don't know why THIS time would be different than the half a dozen other times that I rebooted these boxes but... I'm no longer seeing that I'm accessing the backup voicemail and I'm able to make changes.

These systems are growing on me but they seem to be... fussy.

Thanks again guys for your quick responses.

Wally
