I need to create two Autonumber fields in an access database but as you may know you can't. I need on autonumber to do a standard autonumber sequential. I need the second one to create a unique Timestamp for each record. The time stamp is in the following format xxxx-xx-xx-00.00.00.000000
(year-month-date-hour.minutes.seconds.miliseconds)

Does anyone know how I can create this.

Thank You,
Erica

Quicknote... This is being used for a conversion process.

In your table design, you can create a field called timestamp. On the general tab, you can type in the default value as "=Now()"

Then in the Format box, you can type "yyyy-mm-dd hh\:nn\:ss"

Unfortunately, I don't think standard Format command has support for milliseconds.

With this set up, the default value will be set at the point the user or system enters the record. There is no need to type a date in the Timestamp field petersdaniel@hotmail.com
