Hi,
I'm needing to deliver shortcuts to open a web app that only runs on IE6 or above. Many of my users are running Firefox as their default browser so that when the shortcut is opened it uses (correctly) Firefox. Does anyone know a way to script or otherwise slap around the shorcut to tell it to open IE?
Thanks,

Sam

right-click a blank area of the desktop, New, Shortcut.

The shortcut target: "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"

Then, add a space and append the URL to the end, something like:

[ignore]"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" [/ignore]

That got it, thanks everybody. Maybe one day I can actually contribute something to this forum. In the meantime all my best solutions come from here.

Sam

There is an Extension for FF called "IE View" that will open links in IE.

In the Tools menu, there is an option to "Always View this page in IE". If the user tries to open the link with FF it will re-direct to IE automatically.
