Hi,

Is it possible for me to create without prompting the user, a PDF document in VB6.

I am sorry if this has been asked before, but the search is currently down.

Many thanks,

Royce

do you me using an external program (ie acrobat)or by using a component?

I do not have any real experience in this but could you not just shellexecute?

fytek do a inexpensive component if thats what you are looking for try ::)

I have Adobe Acrobat Writer installed on my machine and have noticed that it is listed under references.

I am hoping this means that I can use this to create a PDF file from within VB.

I have looked at the website you mentioned and it looks like a good product, if I cannot PDF with Adobe I may purchase it.

The best way is that you use Post Script files, because with the Acrobat PDFWriter gives sometimes problems. Certain when you use Word with tables, the last row will be deleted.

You just print the file (document) to a printer file (look for a printer, with Post Scripts /PS). Then you can use the distiller to make PDF-files. It is not the easiest way, but you don't have any problem with converting.
