Create global contact list? (newbie!)

Hi there,

I'm wondering how to create a global set of contacts that show when the caller rings? i.e When a sales rep calls in, it would come up with their name rather than telephone number on all handsets? Thanks a lot

In the system speed dial list enter the persons name and number and when you recieve a call system wide the speed dial name will show on an incoming call. You do need CLID on the lines for this to work.

Thanks, doesn't seem to be appearing.. Do I need to enable CLID on the DDI's somewhere?

under set pgm under telco services I think there's a prompt u can enable to make it a clid set.

I had this problem... all speed dial programmed but names did not appear.

I solved it by going to the active sets, compatibilities & preferences... in the ‘First Display’ column make sure they say 'Name'.
