create gaint shortcuts on the desktop

Is it possible to create a single giant shortcut which is positioned in the centre of the screen and works on a single click "not double click like normal shortcuts work"

Yes, but you have to have a single giant keyboard and a single giant display screen.

The problem is that you cannot selectively set the number of launch clicks by shortcut.

If you want all launch clicks to be single clicks, this you can do in mouse settings.

One thing that might suit is to use a keyboard shortcut.

But it seems suitable that in a Windows setting that as many command sequences as possible should be identical; whether you decide on single or double clicks.
