I want to give a new DN to the new skillset, but i dont have any free application DN, as far as i know i shoud assing an Application DN to a skillset DN. How can i create more application DN in BCM 400.

Please help.....

go to resources-select application resources-select configure
add the amount off dns you require and allow extra.

By defaut you should have had at least 100 dns configured

Dear Snowman,
thanks for the reply, do i need to upgrade my element manager to see this option. i am using an old version of element manager, BCM 400 is patches with the latest patches.

I don't see the option Configure, but i see the same when i connect to BCM 450 from latest version of element manager, when i try to add the BCM 400 under the latest version of element manager i am getting an error cannot download cartridge...
any help will be appreciated.

Sorry i jumped in to quick.
I was refering to bcm450 were you can configure the resources.

As for EM download the version from the bcm you are working on.
I have had to do this some times.

So how can i do this in bcm 400.if i add ine more mbm will ut add applixation dn?

The 400 doesn't need application DNs for skillsets. You'll see them listed as inactive DNs. However, if you want to use one, just renumber it to your skillset CDN.

telcodog,
As per the task based guide you should assign Application DN ad skill set DN, I don't have any application DN under inactive DN. All the application DN is under Active DN, moreover these are already took by IVR port, CC and vmail , when checked from BCM Monitor, so now if i renumber it will it conflict with existing DN?

Doesn't matter, just assign one of your inactive DNs. It will work fine. In fact, all your inactive application DNs will show up there as well.

The danger of using an inactive set DN is not that it won't work, it's that someone who wants to add a new set may try to use the DN that you assign to the skillset. When that happens, you can expect a call from the call centre manager in about 2 minutes.
