Hello,

I have a dimension which contains numbers representing the months of the year (1 - 12). I would like to display in the cube the names of the months instead of these numbers. I already searched the forum and also looked into the Analysis services manual, but I couldn't find an appropriate answer.
Perhaps someone of you had this same issue in the past?

Many, many thanks in advance for your help.

Kind regards
Borg

You can reference your 1-12 to a made up table that has 2 fields 1 and January ect. Then re-create your dimension as a snowflake and incorporate your new table with the new field
OR

You can make a view of your existing dimension as long as its not huge and use star schema. When I say huge I mean over 10 million records or something that would cause a massive performance decrease when processing.

There are other ways, but these are easiest to explain.

Hope this helps,
Bygs
