Hi,

Since I have both a Mac and a PC, and a CD-burner in my PC only, I would like to know if it is feasible (and how) to burn a MacOS startup CD on my PC (using DiscJuggler e.g.), from the 19 images get at ftp.apple.com ?

Thanks,

Don't know discjuggler, but the burner needs to support Mac (hpfs) partitions. I would doubt it does.

The PC can make discs that the Mac reads, but in order to make a STARTUP disc, the burner must be able to create a boot sector on the disc.

As the previous post states, you'd need a burner that can create MAC hfs discs in order to create the boot sector that a Mac can recognize.

However, I have heard RUMORS that there is a PC program that can make an identical copy of any disc regardless of formatting, even if it is unrecognized by the PC's own CD drive if you use the burner as the source and target. You just cannot use a downloaded disc image in this RUMORED scenario.
