I am trying to upgrade a aix host from 61 to 71
I will use nimadm to accomplish this on a spare disk on my aix client
on my nim I have two 7.1 spot resources

"
nimadm -j nimadmvg -c sapscw -s AIX71_spot_base -l AIX71_lpp_base -d hdisk1 -Y

"
root@nimps(/export)# lsnim -l aix71_tl00_comp_spot
aix71_tl00_comp_spot:
class = resources
type = spot
plat_defined = chrp
arch = power
bos_license = yes
Rstate = ready for use
prev_state = verification is being performed
location = /export/spot/aix71_tl00_comp_spot/usr
version = 7
release = 1
mod = 0
oslevel_r = 7100-00
alloc_count = 2
server = master
if_supported = chrp.64 ent
Rstate_result = success
"
and
"
root@nimps(/export)# lsnim -l AIX71_spot_base
AIX71_spot_base:
class = resources
type = spot
plat_defined = chrp
arch = power
bos_license = yes
Rstate = ready for use
prev_state = verification is being performed
location = /export/spot/AIX71_spot_base/usr
version = 7
release = 1
mod = 3
oslevel_r = 7100-03
oslevel_s = 7100-03-04-1441
alloc_count = 14
server = master
if_supported = chrp.64 ent
Rstate_result = success
sync_required = yes
"

I am assuming that I should use the "AIX71_spot_base" to migrate my client to 7100-03-04-1441
Is this a correct assumption?
Can I update my SPOT to a later version of aix like 7100-04-03-1642? if so how?

I am using the following lpp_source

"
root@nimps(/export)# lsnim -l AIX71_lpp_base
AIX71_lpp_base:
class = resources
type = lpp_source
arch = power
Rstate = ready for use
prev_state = unavailable for use
location = /lppsource/AIX71/AIX71_base
simages = yes
alloc_count = 14
server = master
sync_required = yes
"
