I just came across Ubiquiti's VoIP phones and was wondering if anyone knows if they will work on an IPECS system? not posting links because don't want to be accused as a corporate marketer. Just seeking info.

Yeah they should work you never know until you try. Remember your 3rd Party SIP Licence.

I am not familiar with my 3 party SIP Licence.

Our local support went away earlier this year and since I have some phone experience I was the one tasked with learning IPECS, so far not my choice of phone systems, but this forum has helped tons.

You should always have some Kind of support or maintenance Contract. A third party SIP Phone licence needs to be bought from a LG Re seller like WeArePragma or Capstan Communications (Both UK Company). You will need to first have a contract with one of them, then you need to supply them with the Lock Key of the Ipecs MFIM. This can be found in System Management - Appliance Control - Lock Key Install.

They will then be able to issue with the requested licence you want. you need to put the licence code they give into the same Program i have just directed you to.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for all the info, wishforall. unfortunately our support was from a 1 man operation and he passed away leaving us with no support. we weren't under any kind of contract with him and those who have taken over his business seem to be filled with lies and always try to sell us equipment we don't need. Not in the UK, but area I am in is small.
