While working on my new PIII LEO computer, sometimes, and while clicking the left mouse button, a right click action is performed, I keep clicking the left button and the right action continues. I go around the problem by clicking the actual right-button and then click the left button and then the behaviour is normal again. Could it be a virus? but I have an up-to-date antiV s/w.

Any Suggestions, Thanks folks.

A virus doesn't seem to be the most likely, if you have mouse drivers that do clever stuff (single double-clicks etc) then it might be worth reinstalling the drivers. You could also run it as a vanilla Microsoft mouse if it isn't installed as one.

Does it happen in any particular software, or any time?

If you have another mouse you can try, see if it has the same problem, to make sure it's not the mouse.

Try pressing and holding both buttons for a few seconds and it should fix it. Usually the inside is just stuck a litte.
