Crazy crazy mouse!!

Hi All,
When i open up IE6 - the mouse goes mad and it's like the left mouse button has stuck as it repeatedly clicks. To clear this i've been selecting something out of my favourites (you can't open the address bar or type in it) and when it jumps to the website selected it stops the mouse from going batty. It doesn't happen everytime i open the IE, just on occasion.
I'm running XP on my pc.

Have you tried uninstalling, then re-installing the mouse?
